Color Line has a tradition of being faithful in its choice of shipyards, having ordered four of its six ferries at Turku, including the 75,000-gt cruise ferries Color Magic (built 2007) and Color Fantasy (built 2004).
But the orderbook at the Finnish yard is currently so full that it is unlikely to secure the $122m contract for the ship, which will run between the Norwegian town of Sandefjord and Stromstad in Sweden.
