Vancouver-based Teekay Shipping has done its first KG (limited partnership) deal, selling three modern aframaxes to German KG outfit Dr Peters and chartering them back for seven years.
The three tankers are the 107,000-dwt Bahamas Spirit (built 1998) and 113,000-dwt sisters Kyeema Spirit and Kiowa Spirit (both built 1999).
The vessels were sold en bloc for $106.4m
