The US Treasury Department has added a Dubai-based shipowner and his 28 vessels to its sanctions blacklist in a bid to take down facilitators of the trade in Iranian oil and a key Houthi financing network.
The department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control imposed sanctions on Jugwinder Singh Brar and the companies that own and operate his fleet of vessels, particularly Prime Tankers and Glory International in the United Arab Emirates.
