A rescue operation is underway in the North Sea after an explosion and fire tore into a German-owned container ship.
News outlets are reporting that flames were seen on the 1,304-teu Victoria L (ex-OM Bonitatis, built 2009) after a blast on board the vessel at around 13:00 European time.
A second explosion has also been reported.
