JOHN N PATERAS, who founded Pateras Bros Ltd together with his brother Diamantis in 1957, has died in Athens.
Born on the island of Oinoussai in 1931, John Pateras went to sea and worked his way up to his master´s certificate.
Both John Pateras and his brother decided to become semi-retired from their company in the mid-1980s, leaving Diamantis´ son, Nicolas Pateras, to run the company, which today operates under the name Pacific & Atlantic Corp.
