Management moves see younger Ofer climb Zodiac tree

A new generation of the Ofer family has taken a step up in management after the retirement of Amnon Lion, one of Sammy Ofer’s most loyal executives.

Lion, 70, has retired as chairman of Zodiac Maritime, the agency and shipmanagement operation he helped set up in London for Ofer in the 1970s.

Lion is succeeded as head of Zodiac by Captain Rami Zingher, another respected and long-standing Ofer staffer who has been with the group in London since the late 1970s.
