Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) has won its first VLCC order in four years by signing a deal for a series of ships from another China State Shipbuilding Corp (CSSC) outfit.
State-owned SWS scored the contract with CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Leasing (CSSC Leasing) to construct two firm vessels plus two options.
The deal emerged this week as the CSSC group revealed a celebrated raft of orders by its leasing arm.
