Aurora Tankers, the tanker arm of Singapore’s IMC Shipping, wants to double the size of its coated chemical tanker pool based on its positive view of the market.
IMC Shipping managing director Frederik Guttormsen told TradeWinds that this would be accomplished through partnerships with other chemical tanker players.
Aurora Tankers’ chemical tanker pool has increased to 22 ships at the end of August with the delivery of the 50,000-dwt IMO type 2 medium range chemical tanker Maritime Verity (built 2021).
