The European Union unveiled plans on Monday to target companies supporting the operations of unsafe oil tankers as it announced new Russia-related sanctions against 74 ships.
The 16th package of measures — announced on the third anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022 — takes the total number of vessels blacklisted by the EU to 153.
