US President Donald Trump’s turn towards conventional fossil fuels has been welcomed by Greek shipowners betting on a gradual transition to cleaner technologies.
“I have been vindicated by Mr Trump’s decisions,” said Nick Savvas, principal of Cosmoship Management.
The Piraeus-based company has ordered about 20 conventionally fuelled modern Tier III/Phase III container ships and bulkers in the past four years.
