Oldendorff Carriers is the latest shipping company to jump on the kamsarmax bulker bandwagon.
The German owner is being linked to a firm newbuilding order at China’s Hantong Ship Heavy Industry. It is said to include one option vessel.
Oldendorff declined to comment on the deal.
TradeWinds is told that the 82,000-dwt bulker will be built to the International Maritime Organisation's old Tier II standards.
