Nathalin company Prima Marine has scrapped one of its offshore units at an eye-catching price, demolition specialists say.
The 281,000-dwt Northern Star (built 1999) has been sold for between $408 and $410 per ldt, according to reports.
This would mean a figure of around $15m for the converted tanker.
Demolition sources say the vessel will require additional work to remove sludge and slops before it heads to its final destination.
