Vale to keep Malaysian iron ore terminal operating

Vale has decided to keep its Teluk Rubiah Maritime Terminal (TRMT) in operation after the mining giant previously considering closing the Malaysia port facilty because of the safety threat posed by coronavirus.

As TradeWinds earlier reported, Vale was considering closing the Asian iron ore distribution centre after Malaysia was put into lockdown to prevent the spread of the virus. Vale had said it could shut the facility as early as March 31.
