The Cold War may officially be over, but Russia and the US continue their geopolitical tussles with Europe’s LNG market the prize.
Between January and October 2019, Europe’s LNG imports have surged almost 80% year-on-year to 71.1 million tonnes (mt).
“LNG is playing an increasingly important role in Europe’s energy supply mix,” said Ralph Leszczynski, Banchero Costa’s head of research in Singapore.
