The seizure of $47m from a suspected Iranian oil trade is likely to increase the threat for US-affiliated vessels operating in the Persian Gulf, according to security company Ambrey.
Court papers filed by the US government this month revealed a complex chain of oil transfers involving five vessels that carried the cargo in 2022 before it ended up in Croatia for onward sale.
