The Grimaldi Group has signed a long-awaited $1.3bn order for nine dual-fuel methanol ropaxes.
The Italian owner signed the contract for the ships on Tuesday in Hong Kong with China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Weihai), part of the China Merchants Group.
The vessels, capable of running on methanol, will be delivered between 2028 and 2030.
