Torstein Hagen’s Viking Cruises has revealed a deal for the world’s first hydrogen-powered cruise ship.
The US-based cruise line has tasked Italy’s Fincantieri with building the Viking Libra by late 2026.
The ship, part of an earlier order by Viking, will be the first to run on hydrogen stored on board for both propulsion and electricity generation.
