President Donald Trump has made official one of his most sweeping trade promises — reciprocal tariffs across America’s foreign commerce relationships.
He ordered advisers to calculate tariffs that counter those imposed by US trading partners, according to several media reports.
The president also charged US officials with digging deeper by taking into account other trade barriers, including taxes that countries impose on products produced in other nations.
