Swiss trader and shipowner Montfort has bolstered its fleet with period charter agreements for four MR tankers.
The deals reported by brokers suggest one-year rates are on the up in positive markets.
Montfort is said to have fixed Turkish owner Yasa Tankers’ 50,000-dwt pair Yasa Hawk and Yasa Seagull (both built 2017) for a year and a half at $26,500 per day.
