Tidewater, one of the world’s biggest offshore support vessel owners, is growing again with a $190m takeover of Singapore’s Swire Pacific Offshore (SPO).
The deal creates a fleet of 174 OSVs by adding SPO’s 29 anchor-handling tug supply ships and 21 platform supply vessels.
Tidewater will have a total fleet of 203 vessels, if crew boats, tugs and maintenance ships are included.
