US-based Crowley Shipping is making a move into the potentially lucrative offshore wind sector, as well as focusing more on LNG operations.
The company, which is part of the Florida-based Crowley Maritime conglomerate, has formed a New Energy division to support these "emerging" sectors in the US and adjacent regions.
The tanker, boxship and tug company said the aim is to build on a 53-year history of support in the oil and gas industry with US-flagged vessels and engineering services.
