Japanese shipowner NYK Line has secured a multi-year time-charter to back one of its LNG carrier newbuildings.
NYK said it had signed a charter with Kyuden Group company Q United Energy Supply & Trading Co. Kyuden Group is controlled by utility Kyushu Electric Power Co.
The 174,000-cbm newbuilding is under construction at Samsung Heavy Industries and is scheduled for delivery in 2024.
