Thai bulker owner Thoresen Shipping has named Andy Hillier as its new managing director with immediate effect.
He joins the Bangkok-based shipowner from Oslo-based Eastern Bulk Carriers were he also held the title of managing director.
Hillier will report directly to Sigmund Stromme, executive vice president for shipping and logistics of Thoresen Thai Agencies.
Hillier’s primary focus will be to drive the further strategic and commercial development of Thoresen & Co (Bangkok) and Thoresen Shipping Singapore as well as oversee its fleet renewal.
