Thorco Projects has added six ships to its fleet since the beginning of the year, starting a reversal of plans over the past three years to scale back capacity, chief executive and partner Thomas Mikkelsen revealed to TradeWinds.
The multipurpose (MPP) ship sextet range in capacity between 12,000 dwt and 25,000 dwt. The largest is the 25,200-dwt Cerulean (built 2013), which has a lifting capacity of 900 tons, making it the strongest lifter in the company’s fleet.
