A Bangladeshi-owned bulker has become the latest victim of Somali pirates who continue to threaten waters off India.
The 44,400-dwt Jahan Moni (built 1996) is said to have been subjected to a sustained assault before being boarded off India’s south-west coast on Sunday evening.
Numerous media reports indicated the hijacking was likely but an informed source confirmed the hijacking to TradeWinds on Monday morning.
