Italian shipowner Siba is up and running with its new Singapore-based operation after buying two handymax bulk carriers from Greece’s Vafias family for a reported $48m.



Siba confirmed today it had taken delivery of the 46,693-dwt geared Fomalhaut and Eltanin (ex Brave Imperiale and Brave SV). They will become the first vessels placed in the new Singapore company Siba Ship Asia.
