Seafarers on containerships are being called on to look out for the telltale signs of parametric rolling after a series of costly container stack collapses at sea.
The call comes from the Netherlands-based industry Maritime Institute of the Netherlands (MARIN) Top Tier project that was set up to identify the underlying causes of a spate of major container losses over the past year.
