New Dayang Shipbuilding has struck a deal with Taiwanese leasing company Chailease Holding for two ultramax bulk carrier newbuildings at $35m apiece.
The two 64,000-dwt ships are believed to be the first ever newbuildings contracted by Chailease.
A Dayang official confirmed the newbuilding deal to TradeWinds, saying his company will be delivering the bulkers in 2028.
