Products Tankers
*** Brokers are again reporting the sale of a modern long-range-one (LR1) products tanker to a Norwegian KS (limited partnership) company.
The 73,400-dwt Summit Asia (built 2009) is said to have gone to the KS, set up by Ness, Risan & Partners, for $43.4m in a deal including a time charter back for seven years.
In October, Ness, Risan & Partners was said to be seeking investors to buy the Summit Asia along with sisterships Summit Africa and Summit Australia but shortly afterward the trio were said to be back on the market.
