An elderly LNG carrier controlled by Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) outfit BGT is to return to Japan for a second season serving as a winter cargo-storage facility.

An agreement has been reached with the new charterer of the 126,300-cbm LNG Taurus (built 1979) and Japan Petroleum Exploration Co (Japex) that the ship will return to an anchorage off Tomakomai Port off the Yufutsu LNG terminal on the north-east coast of Japan for the peak shaving period from late September to December.
