Hamburg-based MarConsult and Johs Thode will merge to form MarConsult & Thode Schiffahrt (GmbH & Co) KG (MTC) as of 1 July.
The managing directors and shareholders of the new entity will be Captain Jan-Gerd Bartels, Dieter Behrens and Matthias Dabelstein, according to a joint announcement by the two merging companies.
The new fleet after the MTC merger will have 16 vessels of between 4,650 dwt (372 teu) and 19,615 dwt (1,152 teu).
