Several elderly tankers that have recently come off long-term hires at healthy rates could soon be heading for demolition.

This month, the 94,000-dwt Overseas Ania and Overseas Rebecca (both built 1994) are coming off long-term time charters to US-listed Overseas Shipholding Group (OSG) at $19,700 per day. Already in January, US-listed owner DHT Holdings said it was considering disposing of the ships as their employment ended.
