Energy major BP and its vessel leaseholder, Lloyds Banking Group, are trying to sell three steam turbine-driven LNG carriers in a move that could set new values for a significant number of trading vessels.
Brokers say the Trader-class trio — the 138,208-cbm British Trader (built 2002), British Innovator and British Merchant (both built 2003) — are being marketed for sale with a bareboat leaseback deal to BP for a period of three years.
