The dry bulk sector now has its own version of cutting-edge vessel tracking already available in the tanker space.
Like some tanker-tracking platforms, Oceanbolt combines real-time AIS and satellite data to build up a picture of dry bulk commodity flows and shipping operations, with an emphasis on speed.
The Oslo-based platform was formed in 2019 by former investment banker Niclas Daehli Priess and Mads Schou-Andreasen, a former Torvald Klaveness analyst with a background in management consulting.
