Norway's Viken Shipping has bought an almost-new aframax tanker from Unisea Shipping of Greece.
The Bergen-based shipowner has picked up the 112,000-dwt Aquabliss (built 2019) for what is believed to be a $56m, brokers said. The scrubber-fitted ship was delivered from Samsung Heavy Industries last year.
The price puts it at the upper end of estimates, with valuation platforms by VesselsValue and Maritime Strategies International putting the ship's value at between $52.4m
