The operation to transfer more than 1.1m barrels of oil from a decaying super-tanker off the coast of Yemen has been successfully completed, the United Nations has said.
The oil was transferred from the 406,600-dwt FSO Safer (built 1976) because it had not been maintained since 2015, owing to the civil war in the country and had deteriorated to a dangerous state.
