Newly inaugurated US President Donald Trump said he will declare a “national energy emergency” aimed at unleashing America’s oil and gas production potential.
Speaking his first words after his inauguration as the 47th US president, Trump also said he would create a new agency to collect tariffs in a sweeping rethinking of Washington’s trade policy.
Trump said the energy emergency declaration would be part of an effort to tackle inflation.
