DHT Holdings inks seven-year VLCC time charter with profit share on top of rich base rate

DHT Holdings has grabbed more time charter coverage, fixing one of its newer VLCCs on a seven-year deal.

The VLCC specialist said on Monday that the 319,200-dwt DHT Appaloosa (built 2018) was being chartered to “a global energy company” for a fixed rate of $41,000 per day plus an index-based profit-sharing mechanism on top of that based on the ship’s specifications.
