Transpetro has terminated the contracts for two LPG newbuildings on order at Vard Promar in Brazil, it emerged Monday.
The vessels in question are the last two of a series of eight LPG carriers originally contracted in 2010 for delivery between 2014 and 2016.
Singapore-listed Vard Holdings, which has a 50.5% stake in the yard, said construction of the two vessels is at a “very early stage”.
