Total reportedly fixed a Tsakos Energy Navigation-owned suezmax tanker as rates on a key route see more strength.
The French oil major chartered the 158,475-dwt Decathlon (built 2012) for a one-year term, according to broker reports.
The rate is said to be linked to the Baltic Exchange's TD20 voyage as the ship is expected to support Total's West Africa liftings.
