Torm has taken a $6m hit with the sale of a products tanker as the Danish company pushes ahead with its fleet renewal plans.
The Jacob Meldgaard-led diversified shipowner has offloaded the 45,000-dwt Faja de Oro II to a mystery buyer for $12m, an announcement to the Copenhagen bourse revealed on Monday.
The 1995-built unit will swap hands some time in the first quarter but the owner will have to insert a $6m accounting loss into its financial result for the opening three months of the year.
