Sanctions pressure on Russian fuel exports has shrunk the premium earned by vessels using scrubbers to its lowest level in five years, according to Clarksons Securities.
The investment bank said the high-sulphur fuel oil (HSFO) market has tightened, pushing up prices.
This has narrowed the cost gap to the more expensive very low-sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO).
