Swedish tanker company Stena Bulk will take two newbuild eco MR tankers on long-term time charters from close Japanese partners when they are delivered next year.
The 50,000-dwt vessels currently being built at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) and due to be delivered in the first half of 2022, will be nearly 20% more fuel-efficient than the first generation of eco vessels and are being fitted with scrubbers to ensure compliance with global emissions regulations, Stena Bulk said.
