Russian tanker owner Sovcomflot (SCF Group) is set to sell one of its older aframax tankers but rumours around further asset sales do not hold water, shipbrokers said.
The world’s fourth-largest tanker owner has committed the 106,500-dwt Petrozavodsk (built 2003) on subjects for a price in the region of $10.4m to $10.5m, brokers believe.
The figure is being supported by the transaction being with Shanghai Zhenhua Shipping, a Chinese storage buyer, and the lengthy subjects involved, sources explained.
