Scorpio Group bags Onex newbuilding as 50th vessel in LR2 pool

The Scorpio Group has marked a milestone in its campaign to expand numbers by attracting the 50th vessel to the Scorpio LR2 Tanker Pool.

The private operator marked the occasion with the first newbuilding to be delivered to Dubai-based energy trader Onex DMCC, the 114,600-dwt Onex Peace (built 2021). The unit was delivered in March to Onex from South Korea's Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.
