Pleiades ups order tally at Daehan as it rebuilds tanker fleet

Greek shipowner Pleiades Shipping Agents is rebuilding its tanker fleet after a string of ship sales, industry sources tell TradeWinds.

The Peraticos family is said to have signed up for a further aframax at Daehan Shipbuilding, upping its order tally of 115,000-dwt crude carriers at the South Korean yard to three ships, worth about $141m in total.

Officials at Daehan declined to comment, citing contract confidentiality, and Pleiades did not respond to requests for comment.
