More crew have been kidnapped off West Africa as a tanker was raided by six pirates on Sunday.
The attack took place on a vessel at least 115 nautical miles (213 km) southeast of Lome, Togo, but in Benin waters, according to piracy reporting body Maritime Domain Awareness for Trade – Gulf of Guinea (MDAT-GoG).
Security consultancy Ambrey said it understood the target was the 19,117-dwt Marshall Islands-flagged chemical tanker Duke (built 2003).
