The Singapore-listed Noble Group is the first to put pen to paper for LNG from Papua New Guinea.
The Flex LNG floating plant is expected to come on stream in 2014. The FPSO will have an initial capacity of 5m tonnes per annum.
InterOil anticipates an output level of some 10.6m tonnes when production reaching its peak performance.
