Japan’s Meiji Shipping has signed up with Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) to build four MR product tankers.
The Tokyo-based shipping company's move for the 50,000-dwt ships, which are slated for delivery in 2020, comes as part of an effort to rebuild its fleet.
Meiji is said to have signed up for the newbuildings last month, but the deal was never reported.
