Maersk Tankers chief executive Christian M Ingerslev believes you are never too big to gain from consolidation in shipping.
Fresh from agreeing the sale of the Danish company's technical management business to Synergy Group, the boss told TradeWinds that only sufficient scale will allow the industry to meet its decarbonisation challenge.
Singapore's Synergy will assume responsibility for the group's 82 owned ships, 3,300 technical employees and contracts with suppliers and customers.
